On the last Saturday, 11th April, PVU Student Chapter held a soft-skill seminar with the topic: "Crucial techniques to write an impressive CV & interview skills for a job hunting campaign". This is the first time ever that a soft-skill related seminar was held, and PVU Student Chapter had the honor to welcome Mr. Giang Dinh Bui – Admin & HR Manager of PTSC Offshore Service JSC – to come and share his valuable knowledge and experience on this subject.

"I'm not here to teach you but to rather share my experience with you", Mr. Giang stressed. Soft-skill is considered the hardest barrier to overcome for not only PVU students but Vietnamese students in general. Put aside the style of a formal classroom, Mr. Giang enthusiastically shared his very own Solutions – Strategies in jobs hunting. He also encouraged students to speak and ask questions whenever they were confused or in doubt. And of course, there was a reward for each good question.

There's a saying: "If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles." Job hunting planned with the exact strategy. You have to be able to evaluate your own abilities and the company that you're applying to. Mr. Giang went into details with this part. He guided the students, step by step, from how to do research on the recruiters as well as prepare for the best CV. The seminar ended with a brief talk about interview skills – Dos and Don'ts.

"Consider the downturn of the oil price, the job market will be a very competitive place and that's why you should be well-prepared from now on". In this difficult time, job opportunities are all narrow windows. But thanks to this experience sharing session, members of PVU Student Chapter now are much less afraid of it. We all know what we should do, period, to get our dream jobs in a near future.
