Senior Class of political theory - based administration Course I with 123 students is the management leaders of the units in the Vietnam Oil and Gas Corporation . With 2 -year study period , participants will be equipped with basic knowledge about the theory of Marxism - Leninism and Ho Chi Minh, from which to better understand the scientific basis , lines, Party's guidelines and policies of the State law , using reasoning to solve and handle situations in working practices , better contribute to complete assigned tasks .

TRAINING OBJECTIVE OF GEOLOGY ENGINEERING
(Major: Petroleum Geology, Petroleum Geophysics)
General Objective
The objective of Geology Engineering program is to train students who demonstrate a strong political spirit, morality, and enjoy good health so as to meet the demand of developing and modernizing petroleum industry in Vietnam. Students will be provided with sound and extensive basic knowledge, knowledge and skill of Geology Engineering, with a focus on two majors: Petroleum Geology and Petroleum Geophysics.
Geology Engineering graduates will have capabilities in design, research, scientific creativity, and management in the fields of petroleum geology and petroleum geophysics. Geology engineers will be able to work for subsidiaries of PVN, local and foreign oil and gas companies, universities, research institutes in related fields.
Specific Objectives
+ Knowledge
Sinh viên ngành Kỹ thuật Địa chất được trang bị những kiến thức đại cương về Khoa học Tự nhiên, Khoa học Xã hội và Nhân văn,kỹ thuật cơ sở, cơ sở ngành Kỹ thuật Địa chất, đặc biệt tập trung các kiến thức chuyên môn Địa chất dầu khí và Địa vật lý dầu khí.

Technical Understanding
-
- Nắm vững các kiến thứcvề Kỹ thuật Địa chất, trên nền tảng các kiến thức vềtoán, khoa học kỹ thuật cơ bản, khoa học địa chất, chuyên môn địa chất dầu khí và địa vật lý dầu khí.
- Khả năng xác định, thiết lập và giải quyết các vấn đề về khoa học và Kỹ thuật Địa chất dầu khí và địa vật lý dầu khí.
Professional Competency
-
- Khả năng nghiên cứu nguồn gốc, qui luật và trạng thái phân bố của dầu khí trong vỏ trái đất; các chế độ hình thành, lưu trữ, bảo tồn, phá hủy các loại bẫy dầu khí, cấu trúc các bẫy chứa dầu khí.
- Năng lực tính toán các cấp trữ lượng tài nguyên dầu khí, trữ lượng thu hồi và các điều kiện khai thác mỏ, đánh giá tiềm năng các tập hợp triển vọng dầu khí.
- Khả năng ứng dụng công nghệ định lượng về các phương pháp tìm kiếm thăm dò, địa vật lý giếng khoan, thăm dò địa chấn, các phương pháp đánh giá thành hệ … để xác định chính xác các thông số của các mỏ dầu khí phục vục cho hoạt động đánh giá trữ lượng, khoan và khai thác dầu khí, quản lý và vận hành mỏ.
- Khả năng ứng dụng các phần mềm chuyên ngành để giải quyết các bài toán thực tế trong lĩnh vực địa chất và địa vật lý dầu khí.
Communication and team-work skills
Students will be able to:
- Use English fluently in communication, work and research;
- Write, speak, organize and present information, research results, designs, and inventions effectively;
- Work in a team; to organize scientific research and implement applied projects;
- Be the diversity and technical knowledge of colleagues.
Ability in Post-Study: Students will be competent in pursuing post-graduate studies or life-long study, especially able to learn and master scientific and technical advances in geology engineering and related fields.
Professional Skills: Students will have knowledge of current world issue, scientific and technical advances in the field of geology engineering and be able to apply their knowledge into current practice, and attain higher awareness of social responsibility and business ethics.
TRAINING OBJECTIVE OF PETROLEUM ENGINEERING
(Major: Petroleum Drilling and Production)
General Objective
The objective of Petroleum Engineering program is to train students who demonstrate strong political spirit, morality, and enjoy good health so as to meet the demand of the country's modernization and the petroleum industry development of Vietnam. Students will be provided with a strong foundation, knowledge and skills in Petroleum Engineering.
Students who graduate from Petroleum Engineering program will have capabilities in design, research, scientific creativity, and management in the field of Petroleum Engineering. Petroleum engineers will be able to work for subsidiary units of PetroVietnam (PVN), local and foreign Petroleum Engineering companies, universities, research institutes of related fields.
Specific Objective
+ Knowledge
Students will be provided with general knowledge of Natural Science, Social Science and Humanitarian, technical foundation, basic knowledge of Petroleum Engineering, with a strong focus on the training major: Petroleum Drilling and Production.
+ Competency
1. Technical Understanding
- Students will acquire firm knowledge of Petroleum Engineering, on the basis of knowledge of Mathematics, General Studies, Earth Science and Petroleum Engineering.
- They will be able to identify and solve problems concerning Petroleum Engineering.
2. Professional Competency
Students will be able to:
- Design and analyze drilling well system and technical process for drilling and completing well;
- Design and analyze petroleum production, gathering, processing and transportation system;
- Apply methodologies in Geology Engineering to identify characters, quantify geological data and resources;
- Apply principles in Reservoir Engineering and real practice to maximize reservoir development and management;
- Use Economics knowledge and resource evaluation methods to design and make decision when risky and uncertain conditions are favorable;
- Master modern technology and equipment for professional work;
- Design, test; analyse, present data and apply results to improve technical processes.

Students will be able to:

The training objective of Petrochemical Engineering program is to train students who demonstrate strong political spirit, morality, and enjoy good health so as to meet the demand of developing and modernizing the petroleum industry in Vietnam. Students will be provided with a strong foundation, knowledge and skills in Petrochemical Engineering.
Students who graduate from Petrochemical Engineering program will have capability in design, research, scientific creativity, and management in the field of refinery and petrochemical. Refining - Petrochemical engineers will be able to work for subsidiary units of PetroVietnam (PVN), local and foreign Refining – Petrochemical companies, universities, research institutes of related field.
Specific Objective

Students will be provided with general knowledge of Natural Science, Social Science and Humanitarian, technical foundation, basic knowledge of Petrochemical Engineering, with a strong focus on the training major: Refining - Petrochemical.
+ Competency

- Master the basis of technology and facility design in Refining – Petrochemical plants.

- Understand and analyse technical parameters of petroleum products, petrochemical products, and able to use analytical facility.
- Update, select, and master modern technology, green production technology in the field of Refining – Petrochemical.
- Identify and solve problems during plant operation in the field of Refining – Petrochemical Engineering.
