On Sunday morning of November 22nd, 2020, PVU Intake 9 freshmen and their teachers organized an outdoor activity called “Green picnic” in order to help students socialize, connect and raise awareness of environmental protection. The location was at Paradise Beach of Vung Tau City.
One of the most prominent activities of the picnic was picking up trash along the beach near the tourist area. In just 2 hours, students cleaned more than 500m of the beach and collected 100 bags of trash. That contributed to creating a green, clean and beautiful environment and at the same time raising tourists’ and the local people’s awareness of environmental protection.
The activity also helped these students to socialize and be connected. More importantly, it helped raise their awareness and responsibility to preserve and protect the environment through practical activities, continuing series of environmental activities that PVU students had participated in before, such as the project "Coastal Painting" at Phuoc Hai Fishing Village, the "Sunday CleanUp" event at Doi Nhai Beach, Vung Tau City.
In the late afternoon, all the students cleaned up the picnic sites and took great photos together. The picnic ended in joys and laughters.
