In the semester 2, academic year of 2020-2021, G&G Club organizes the professional activity on the topic “PYTHON Programming Language”. This is instructed by Dr. Doan Ngoc San who is an AI expert and a lecture in Petroleum Geology and Geophysics Department. The class is conducted once per week through the semester. This helps students to expand knowledge in computer science and technology which are essential and useful for engineering students.

The contents of Python Programming Language Course

G&G club organized field trips combining with picnics in the coastal area of ​​Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. This is one of the most important activities of the club because the members have more opportunities to apply geological engineering knowlegde they are equipped in the fields. G&G club members aslo have a picnic which provides the environment for GE students relax and release their stress.

G&G Club has conducted seminars presented by students majoring in Petroleum Geology – Geophysics. These seminars were completed under the guidance and advice of lecturers in the Department as well as experts in Oil and Gas Industry. The topics are various, such as sharing experience in using specialized software (e.g Petrel, IP); discussingGE students’ scientific research projects; and, sharing thoughts and concerns when they chose their major.

Through those activities, GE students have the opportunity to exchange, reinforce and update their professional knowledge as well as improve their presentation and communication skills.
