3. Reservoir Laboratory

The Reservoir Laboratory, often called the core flooding Lab, is used for experimental purposes. The laboratory can determine the rock permeability, and how well various fluids, including oil, will flow through it under 3-axis stresses. A number of tests, ranging from simple two-phase core flooding experiments to complex high-temperature (HT), high-pressure (HP) tests can be performed with a high degree of precision. Reservoir Laboratory serves courses including PET13414-Reservoir Engineering (+Lab), PET13313-Formation evaluation. In addition to serving lecturers, students for scientific research, serving students to do senior projects, graduation projects, or master's students to make graduation dissertations, to provide oil company services when needed, and to serve academic exchanges between universities with the same Petroleum Engineering program.
